Introducing the iMonster!!! NOM! (Full view, please!)

So, this little guy has a story behind him. I found this incredible autumn-colored eyelash yarn at a little yarn shop in a market in Huddersfield (that's in England for my fellow Yanks!), and Mark bought it for me 'cause he knew I absolutely LOVE autumn colors and I'm a yarn addict.

It's super silky and soft, and wonderful to knit with, even if dropping stitches with eyelash yarn is a nightmare.

I was going to make it into a scarf, but decided not to once I realized how cool it would look as an iPod case! Especially since I've been looking for a nice cloth case that would fit over my protective acrylic & metal case.

So, I knit, and knit, and knit! And then towards the end came the dreaded BUTTONS!! It was my first time knitting buttonholes, which is harder than you might think, but I got the hang of it! *proud*

To make matters worse, I didn't have any buttons except some very bright ones Adam had bought me before I left, so I decided to find some buttons that would really pop and contrast, thus the bright lime green.

Well, I didn't realize it until after I'd gotten everything sewed up and had stuffed my iPod inside, that my case looked like a furry little monster! Thus, the iMonster was born!

I've considered making and selling these on Etsy but I'm not sure how many folks would like them. (^-^)

Yarn: O_O Um...about that...
Needles: Size 8
Size: Large enough to fit over an iPod Video (the 5th gen version) inside a brushed metal/acrylic case, with earbuds wrapped around it and still shut XD

Note: The yarn should be slightly less red (it has gold, orange, burgundy, and brown in it, no actual red), and the eyes should be more green, less yellow. I believe the red in my camera's hue settings was boosted or something 'cause all my pictures from that time period are just a tad too red.
